Biography
Ian has over 17 years' experience working with grant-makers, UN agencies, and non-profits, tackling global challenges from the ground up. During this time he has managed multi-million pound innovation portfolios and multi-country partnerships, supporting teams around the world to address critical issues ranging from gender-based violence to flood resilience and response.
Ian started his career in research and policy communications, working for organisations including Oxfam and Oxford University’s Refugee Studies Centre. He has a BSc in Disaster Management and Technology, an MSc in Globalisation and Development, and a deep interest in complexity science and the evolution of culture. In 2021 Ian was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce (The RSA).
