About me
Ian has over 15 years' experience designing and facilitating social innovation initiatives, working with grant-makers, UN agencies, and non-profits. During this time he has managed multi-million pound portfolios and multi-country partnerships, supporting teams around the world on challenges ranging from gender-based violence and child marriage to agriculture and climate change adaptation.
Ian started his career in research, policy and public communications, working for organisations including Oxfam, Bond, and Oxford University’s Refugee Studies Centre. He has a BSc in Disaster Management and Technology, an MSc in Globalisation and Development, and a deep interest in the science of complexity and cultural evolution. In 2021 Ian was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce (The RSA).
